The violence of abortion spills out onto the streets

Human abortion is an act of violence against an innocent human being. And as Jesus taught us 2000 years ago, violence begets violence:

“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.” [MATTHEW 26:52

Increasingly, we’re seeing the violence spill out into the streets as abortion rights advocates threaten and attack pro-life supporters.

A recent attack occurred last month at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Nineteen year old Jillian Ward (above) attacked a pro life supporter with Created Equal, striking him in the face and stomach several times, as you can see in the video above. Be forewarned, her language is obscene. She screamed:

“F***ing terrible person. You’re a terrible person. You — this is not okay. This is not okay. This is not okay. Shut the f**k up right now. This is wrong. This is triggering. You’re not an innocent human being. You’re a terrible person.”

National trend

The president of Created Equal, Mark Harrington, said this a growing, national trend on college campuses:

“Students being groomed on college campuses to be leaders, writers, and thinkers of the Left are increasing in censorship and violence against those with whom they disagree.”

It’s not just college students, as we wrote yesterday. Even abortion-supporting lawmakers are spilling out into the streets to bully those standing up for the dignity of human life in the public square. Here is the video of Pennsylvania Representative Brian Sims harassing an “old white woman” praying in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic on Holy Thursday:

Abortion supporter threatens to kill pro-lifer

In the video below, the abortion supporter threatens to kill the peaceful pro-lifer and his family, eventually striking the man:

As St. Mother Teresa taught us,

“Abortion is the greatest destroyer of peace in the world today. If a mother can kill her own child, what’s left for other people to kill each other?”

How do pro-lifers fight back against this escalating trend of violence and evil? With prayer and forgiveness nourished by Christ’s love. Look at the faces of these abortion supporters. We are clearly engaged in spiritual warfare.
