What a week! Thanks to everyone who attended our fundraising banquet last Thursday.

EWTN’s Gloria Purvis gave an amazing speech infused with hope and inspiration. She revealed the shockingly different attitude pregnant Black women experience verses White women when they visit the doctor.
Newly ordained Bishop William Joensen spoke and told us Ms. Purvis’ speech was one of the most compelling pro-life witnesses he has ever heard.

Our Lady of Guadalupe
Pro-Life Rally and Prayer Vigil, 10 am – 12:30 pm Iowa State Capitol Rotunda, 1st Floor, followed by prayer at the Iowa State Supreme Court (at noon).

This is a BIG deal! Here’s why:
In March of 2012, the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was brought to Iowa due to the alarming growth of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland. Since her visit, 18 of 26 Planned Parenthoods in Iowa closed!
Iowans for LIFE is bringing the Image back as we join with our brothers and sisters in Christ in prayer. The pro-life movement faces monumental challenges. But with the prayer support of Our Lady of Guadalupe, nothing can stop us!
We need YOUR prayers tomorrow at the Capital beginning at 10AM.

Supreme Court overreach
In June of 2018, the Iowa Supreme Court struck down an Iowa law providing for a three day reflection period before an abortion can take place. The Court claimed that elective abortion is a fundamental right in Iowa’s Constitution, even though the word “abortion” does not appear there. Because of this ruling, Iowa’s first in the nation “Heartbeat Law” was overturned by Judge Huppert in January of 2019.
The pro-life community needs to gather to educate others and pray! This is an unjust ruling that can only be overturned by an amendment to the Iowa Constitution, stating that “Nothing in this Constitution secures or protects a right to abortion or requires government funding of abortion.”
