Our 2019 IFL Fundraising banquet was a huge success. Our speaker was Gloria Purvis, creator and host of the EWTN series, Authentically Free at Last, that deals with the modern challenges to the expression and understanding of authentic human freedom.
She also hosts the morning radio program, Morning Glory, on EWTN Global Catholic Radio. She is dedicated to promoting the sanctity of human life, marriage, and the dignity of the human person.
She spoke about our Catholic understanding of the evils of abortion, gave a great defense of our Catholic teaching against contraception, and gave her personal testimony of what it is like to be a pregnant black woman and how often she was encouraged to abort.
"Was it racism she asked? I don't know, all I know is that I had a friend who was pregnant at the age of 50, and all of her health care providers kept telling her that with medical advances, they were sure they could help her deliver a healthy , full-term baby. Every health care provider I came in contact with encouraged me to abort."
After the banquet, we repeatedly heard that Gloria delivered one of the best pro-life
messages they had ever heard. It was informative, entertaining, and delivered with a passion that inspired us all.
We were blessed to have one of four actual (4’X6’) replicas of the original, blessed
Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe at our banquet. LEARN MORE
The images have visited every state in the U.S. and traveled around the world. Many signs, wonders, conversions, healings, reconciliations and graces have been reported. Abortions have been prevented and many abortion centers have closed after visitations by the Miraculous Image.
